PROJECTS
project 1
The client of this terraced garden requested more winter structure and more summer colour. After reviewing the existing planting and a discussion on colour and plant preferences I added Phormium "Sundowner", Nadina domestica "Plum Passion" and Pittisporum tenuifolium "Tom Thumb" to the top two levels for structure. Grasses and additional herbaceous perennials were added to the lower levels along with summer bulbs to provide movement and colour.
If you'd like to speak to me about how we could work to implement similar techniques in your own garden then please contact me.
Project 2
The client wanted suggestions for how to utilize a couple of new beds in her garden short term, as due to other commitments the garden was not ready for full planting. I suggested an annual meadow mix that provides a season of interest through to autumn when other planting options would be available. The mix was a great success and extremely colourful from May through to October.
project 4
The client wanted some sympathetic planting for the small space in front of the cottage. Lots of spring bulbs were used along with roses, alliums, irises, penstemons and geraniums to create a classic cottage garden style of planting.
project 3
Stage one of a planting for a local NHS surgery. Trees and shrubs have been planted for structure and these will be added to this spring to provide seasonal interest for the patients and staff at the surgery. Patients are growing seeds for the garden and a community planting day is currently being planned.
